- It monitors, captures, and shelters stray animals in order to prevent, in collaboration with animal rights organizations, acts of cruelty, mistreatment, and abandonment;

- Manages relations between the Municipality and the ASP veterinary service for the microchipping and sterilization of stray dogs and cats;
- It requires verification by the supervisory bodies for monitoring and prevention of the phenomenon of stray animals.
