Description
Citizens are informed that in application of art. 6 paragraph 5 of LR 31 July 2003 n. 10, the Regional Department for Family and Social Policies has approved with DDG n. 535/S8 of 19/02/2026 the public notice for the provision of a €1.000,00 bonus for the birth of a child, within the limits of the available funding.
The Bonus will be paid out through the Municipalities based on the parameters and criteria listed below.
A parent or, in the event of a legal impediment, a parent or guardian, who meets the following requirements, may apply for the Bonus:
- Italian or EU citizenship or residence permit if non-EU
- residence in the territory of the Sicily Region at the time of birth or adoption or foster care; for the last two cases, the date of the Decree issued by the Juvenile Court will be valid.
- ISEE indicator of the applicant's family unit not exceeding € 10.000,00
The contribution for the year 2026 will be paid in two semesters:
- In the first semester, contributions will be paid for children born, adopted or fostered between 1 October 2025 and 31 March 2026.
- In the second semester, contributions will be paid for children born, adopted or fostered between 1 April and 30 September 2026.
Applications for those born between October 1st and December 31st 2026 will be paid in 2027.
The application, drawn up exclusively on a form provided by the Department of Family and Social Policies, according to the forms of the declaration in lieu of a sworn statement, pursuant to art. 46 et seq. of Presidential Decree no. 445 of 28 December 2000 and subsequent amendments, is available from the Social Secretariat of the Municipality or can be downloaded from the website.
The following must be attached to the application:
- Photocopy of the applicant's valid identification document, pursuant to Article 38 of Presidential Decree 445/2000
- ISEE indicator certificate issued by authorized offices, currently valid
- In the case of a non-EU citizen, a copy of a valid residence permit
- Copy of any adoption or foster care order
Applications must be submitted within 45 days of the newborn's date of birth at the Incoming Post Office of the Municipality of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto or via certified email: comunebarcellonapdg@postecert.it
The Regional Department for Family and Social Policies will draw up the regional rankings according to the procedures set out in DDG no. 535/S8 of 19/02/2026.
The Bonus will be paid to beneficiaries directly by their municipalities of residence, upon transfer of the resources by the aforementioned Regional Department.
The deadlines for submitting applications for the Child Bonus Intervention for children born in 2026 are:
- JANUARY – FEBRUARY 2026 BY 1APRIL 5, 2026;
- MARCH 2026 BY 15 MAY 2026;
As regards the 2nd semester of 2026 (Born from 1 APRIL to 30 SEPTEMBER 2026) the deadline for submitting applications must be within 45 days from the date of birth of the newborn
