Description
Pursuant to art. 39 of the Mortuary Police Regulations, approved with CC Resolution no. 24 of 23.03.1998, given the need to reclaim and reuse the area, as provided for by art. 32 of the aforementioned Regulations, the following will be carried out starting from 01.12.2025 to the official exhumation of the bodies buried before 01.01.2015 at the burial ground located at polygon 21 called "children's".
Upon exhumation, the fully mineralized remains will be collected in ossuary boxes and placed in the municipal ossuary or in cells granted for a fee if there are heirs who specifically request it.
Any bodies that have not decomposed, despite the long period of time that has passed (50/60 years), will be placed in the cemetery's designated burial spaces.
Interested parties must take action to communicate the appropriate decision regarding the destination of the deceased's mortal remains by submitting a formal request to this institution to the Cemetery Service.
If the family members are uninterested or fail to notify the intended destination of the remains, they will be held in storage for 30 days from the date of exhumation, after which they will be transferred to the municipal ossuary free of charge.
This notice will be posted at the Cemetery Service offices, at the entrance to the Municipal Cemetery, and on the Cemetery Service website.
