The relevant law no. 3 of 2019 establishes a series of obligations for parties, movements, and candidates that will also apply during the elections of May 24 and 25, 2026.
In particular, in compliance with the provisions of art. 14, paragraph 1, Law no. 3/2019, political parties, political movements and civic lists they are obliged to publish on their website the CVs provided by their candidates, including the mayoral candidate, and the relevant criminal record certificate issued by the criminal records office. This requirement must be fulfilled within 14 days before the election date.
In a specific section, called "Transparent elections», of the website of the body to which the electoral consultation refers, within the seventh day preceding the date of the electoral consultation, for each list or candidate associated with it as well as for each political party or movement presenting candidates in the elections referred to in paragraph 14, the curriculum vitae and the criminal record certificate referred to in Article 24 of the consolidated text referred to in Presidential Decree No. 313 of 14 November 2002 of the candidates issued no later than ninety days before the date set for the election, already published on the website of the political party or movement or of the list or candidate associated with it referred to in paragraph 11, first sentence, previously communicated to the bodies referred to in this sentence, shall be published in an easily accessible manner. The publication must allow the voter to access the information reported therein by searching by constituency, district, party and by surname and name of the candidate.

Each party, movement or list is invited to send this documentation as soon as possible, hopefully by 14 May 2026, to the PEC address of the Municipality of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto comunebarcellonapdg@postecert.it which will in turn publish it, within the seventh day before the elections, also on the municipal website in a specific section called "Transparent Elections".
It is also recommended that the aforementioned documentation be produced in compliance with privacy legislation, i.e., by anonymizing any unnecessary data.
